Sidney A. Meacham, Sr.

Sidney A. Meacham, Sr. passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 64.

Sidney was born in Vicksburg, MS on October 5, 1960, to the late Sidney Kemper Meacham, Jr. and Peggy Sue Allison Blansett.  He was the owner of Arc-Up Welding until his retirement in 2023.  He was a mentor to many young people starting their careers.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  

He is survived by his son Sidney Meacham, Jr. (Brittany), brothers Ken Meacham (Charitie), Kevin Meacham and Trey Meacham (Samantha), sisters Deborah Lowery and Olie Goodwin and grandchildren Ashley Bowser and Zoey Meacham.  He is also survived by his wife of 35 years Gail.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Glenwood Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.  Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joey Foster, Jeff Ellison, Rob Ellison, Tom Jones, Michael Fielder, Jay Vines, Mitavean Jackson and Dylan Johnson.  Honorary pallbearers will be David McDonald, Hank Hearn and Tony Haggard.
