Thelma Ward Hendrix

Thelma Ward Hendrix passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024. She was 74 years old. She was born Dubbs, MS on December 2, 1949, to James Edward and Janie Louise McCraney Ward. She worked at Carter's for 30+ years. She also worked for the Holiday Inn and C&H Knit. Most recently she worked at the Best Western of Vicksburg. She loved her grandchildren and our pets with Pie being her biggest protector. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Janie Louise McCraney Ward; sister, Stella Ward Harpole; brother, Bill Ward.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Hendrix and grandchildren, Dustin Gardener and Brendan "Cody" Gardner. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to the Vicksburg Animal Shelter.
