Thomas Beasley Obituary

Thomas Phillip Beasley, lovingly known as “Tommy” to his friends and “Poppy” to his grandchildren, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 12, 2026, at the age of 71.

Born on July 16, 1954, in Vicksburg, Tommy was the son of the late Marion Dale Beasley and Barbara Hargon Beasley. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debbie Beasley.

Tommy was a proud graduate of St. Aloysius High School, Class of 1972. He went on to attend Mississippi State University, where he earned a degree in Physical Education in 1977. He dedicated over 30 years of service as a Maintenance and Support Supervisor at Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Station, where he was respected for his hard work and commitment.

Above all, Tommy was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and husband who cherished time spent with his family. He had a deep love for life and for being around others, forming lasting friendships wherever he went. As a child, he loved horses, and throughout his life he enjoyed hunting and especially treasured time spent on the water.

He is survived by his children: Thomas Jeremy Beasley (Christie), Haley Kirby (Cliff), and Carrie Meyer; his grandchildren: Elliot Beasley, Clarke Beasley, Logan Sanders, Brayden Truesdell, Layton Truesdell, Camden Meyer, and Peyton Meyer; and his great-granddaughter, Remi Sanders; and numerous nieces and nephews; his siblings: Barbara Rogers (Fred), Patricia Walden (Cecil, deceased), Debbie Hepburn (Byron), Bettye Worrell (Gene), Janet Pickett (Clint, deceased), and Tim Beasley (Sandra).
