Thomas John Lurk

Thomas John Lurk passed away Saturday, July 4, 2020. He was 80  years old.

Tom was born in Ste. Genevieve, MO. He has been a Claiborne County resident since 1967 and was a well-known farmer with Valley of the Moon farm and a mechanic with Claiborne County road department. Tom enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Tom W. Lurk and Lenora Klein Lurk and grandsons Cory Lurk and Tyler Bost.

Tom is survived by his wife of 60 years Shirley (Nevois) Lurk; 4 children Duane Lurk (Carla), Dean Lurk, Tammy Bost (Danny), and Danny Lurk (Emily); sisters Alousie Wiegard (Bill), and Mary Drag (Clem); brothers Charlie Lurk (Roberta), Joe Lurk (Pat), John Lurk (Linda), and Bill Lurk; grandchildren Kelsey Bost, Wesley Bost, Kristen Bost, Caroline Bost, Josh Lurk, Ryan Lurk, Jacob Lurk, Lauren Lurk Powell, and Danielle Lurk.

A private service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Gibson, MS on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 11:00 P.M. with Father Anthony Claret Onyeocha officiating. Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery in Port Gibson.
