Vincent Joseph (Bink) Palermo, II
Vincent Joseph (Bink) Palermo, II passed away on May 13 after a long and courageous battle. He passed away peacefully at River Bridge Specialty Hospital in Vidalia with his beloved wife by his side.
He is predeceased by his parents, Vincent Joseph Palenno and Virginia Gray Palermo. He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Ellen Marie Hayes Palenno; his sister Susan Palermo Gussio, and many loving cousins.
He graduated from H. V. Cooper High School and then attended Delta State University where he graduated with degrees in Management and Marketing. Professionally, he dedicated many years of service as a Civil Engineering Technician in the Soils Laboratory of the US Anny Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District. He took immense pride in his work and was respected for his knowledge, reliability, and strong work ethic, receiving numerous awards during his career.
He was a devoted and loving husband whose greatest joy was the life he shared with his adoring wife. Together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love. Through every season of life, their bond remained constant and true, a reflection of deep companionship and enduring devotion.
He generously gave his time delivering meals through the Meals on Wheels ministry, quietly caring for members of his community in need. He also had a special love for dogs, who brought him endless comfort and happiness over the years. Whether offering a gentle pat, a kind word, or a welcoming lap, he never met a dog that did not quickly become his friend. His compassion for animals reflected the tenderness of his heart and the caring spirit he showed to everyone around him.
Those who knew him will remember his gentle nature, sense of humor, and the grace with which he faced life's challenges. Even during his illness, he showed remarkable courage and perseverance, supported by the love of family and friends.
He leaves behind countless cherished memories and a deep emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. Though he will be profoundly missed, his love and loyalty will live on in the lives he touched.
