Virginia Lynn Browning

Virginia "Ginger" Lynn Browning passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. She was 69 years old.

Virginia was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg where she served as an abstractor for most of her career before working for the Warren County Chancery Clerks office the last nine years of her life. She was a long-time member and Sunday School teacher of Lighthouse Assembly of God. She loved the piano, reading and history.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Albert Browning and Dessie Sanders Browning, a brother Ralph Alton Browning, her close friend Susan Ables and her beloved dog Little Bit.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Browning Hearn (Calvin), nieces Ashley Opperman (Marcus), Cathy Hearn (Cole), Lea Ann Nevels, Christie Browning, and Stacy Browning, nephew Robbie Browning, sister-in-law Teresa Browning, close friend and cousin Caitlin Johnson and several great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Lighthouse Assembly of God at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. David Case officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Opperman, Wiley Hambright, Lane Mason, Charles Grant, Logan Moore, and Efram Ramos.
