Margaret Virginia Erwin Eatmon passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020, in Jackson, Mississippi, at the age of 91. She was born September 23, 1928, in Tallulah, Louisiana, to Whit and Virgie Beacham Erwin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Michael “Jack” Eatmon, Sr. They were married for 37 1/2 years.
She had been a resident of Jackson for the last six years. Previously, she lived on Lake Bruin in Tensas Parish, Louisiana, where she was an avid bridge player. A long time member of the Eastern Star, she enjoyed many types of handwork, especially quilting.
She is survived by three children and their spouses: Pam Reeves and husband, Gene of Madison, Mississippi; Mike Eatmon and wife, Nancy of Pearl, Mississippi; and Gay Phillips and husband, Scott of Verbena, Alabama.
She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Bro. Johnny Wilkins officiating under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, Louisiana. Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.
