Vivian Bodie Brown

Vivian Bodie Brown passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 77. 

Vivian was born on May 3, 1947, the daughter of the late Clarence Bodie and Lucille McPhail Bodie.  She retired from teaching school after 30+ years of service.  She was a master gardener.  She was an animal lover and loved to watch birds and deer in her back yard. She was a member of Valley Park Baptist Church and also attended St. Michael Catholic Church,

She was preceded in death by her brothers Jerry Bodie and John Hershel Bodie and son Jason Johnson.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years Don Brown, son Mark Johnson, daughter Jana Johnson Nettles and grandchildren Ben Johnson, Hallie Nettles and Kally Nettles.  

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Valley Park Baptist Church, with Rev. Adrian Fairchild officiating the service.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  Burial will follow in Valley Park Baptist Church Cemetery.
