Wayne Ozell Hearn, Sr.

Wayne Ozell Hearn passed away, October 10, 2024. He was born October 25, 1946, in Vicksburg, Ms.

Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home Saturday October 12, 2024, at 12:00pm-2:00pm. Service will be at 2:00pm

Wayne is a military veteran who served between 1968 to 1974. Wayne and his brother Pete farmed at Thompson Lake from to 1975 to 2005. When he finished farming, he started hauling grain and finished his career working as a truck driver for Falco Lime and Foam Packaging. He loved hunting, fishing, and working with his honeybee hives. He also enjoyed taking our mama out to the local karaoke bars and singing his favorite songs.

He is preceded in death by his father Claude Ozell Hearn, his mother Mary Elizabeth Hearn and his infant daughter Claudia Jeanette Hearn and brother-in-law, Ralph Boyle.

He is survived by his wife Mary Charlene Hearn, his sons Wayne (Buddy) Ozell Hearn, Jr (Paula) and Christopher Lee Hearn (Becki). His grandchildren: Derek Hearn (Amber), Dallas Hearn (Kami), Lexi Hearn, Skyla Hearn, Blair Hearn, Siera Hearn, 4 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by 11 brothers and sisters: Barbara McKay (Clifton), Alfred (Pete) Hearn (Carolyn), Rose Lee Boyle (Ralph), James (Squeaky) Hearn (Edna), Charles Hearn (Brenda), Ruby Chapin, Calvin Hearn (Judy), Gloria Blake (Henry), Donna Whaley (Michael), Vernon Hearn (Susan), Gary Hearn (Glenda).

Pallbearers will be Buddy Hearn, Chris Hearn, Derek Hearn, Dallas Hearn, Shea Walls, Max Thornhill, Christian Lancaster

Honorary Pallbearers will be his six brothers Pete Hearn, James (Squeaky) Hearn, Charles Hearn, Calvin Hearn, Vernon Hearn, and Gary Hearn.

Daddy will always and forever be our hero!
