William Anthony Scott, lovingly known as "Tony", passed away on April 11, 2026, at the young age of 64. Born on September 19, 1961. Tony was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, MS, but spent a lot of time traveling while working on the tugboat as a seasoned deckhand.
Tony had a deep love for life's simplest treasures. He was passionate about the Mississippi River, anything Harley Davidson, and had a strong passion for history.
More than anything, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, sharing laughs, and creating memories. He was known for his "easy going nature" and just "going with the flow of his girls", just having fun.
Tony will be remembered for his love for his family, having a very free spirit, and living life to the absolute fullest. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, and togetherness that will live on through all who knew and loved him.
Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sam and Pearl Scott, father Bennie Scott, granddaughter Megan Crowell, a very special companion Joyce Scott, and lifelong friend Tony Baker.
He is survived by his two daughters, Crystal Scott and Tamekka Slade, two sisters Lydia Valdez (Oscar) and Debbie Scott, three grandchildren Makayla Cooke, Madison Baker and David Scallions, two great-grandchildren Baylor and Presley.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at River of Life Church of God of Prophecy 4345 Lee Rd, Vicksburg, MS 39180
Pallbearers will be Jay Kraemer, Braden Kapp, Oscar Valdez, Ricky Jones, David Scallions, Lamar Griffin, and Jeffery Somerville.
The family would like to send a special thank-you to all of the medical team at River Region ICU as well as Taylor Bowman, his hospice nurse. We sincerely thank-you for everything you have done.
