William “Bill” Thomas Harris passed away peacefully at his home in Vicksburg on the morning of February 10, 2026, with his beloved wife by his side.
A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Bill attended Cooper High School before graduating from Ole Miss. He proudly served as a member of the U.S. Army National Guard. Known for his larger-than-life personality, Bill made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a devoted man of faith and found great joy in the outdoors. Bill was a respected businessman and real estate developer who took great pride in his work throughout Vicksburg and Warren County.
Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, April Christian Harris, and his four children: Thomas Vaughn, William Benjamin, Mark Christopher, and Christian Josephine. He is also survived by his two grandsons, William James Harris and Vaughn Maxwell Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Benjamin Harris, Jr., and Josephine Good Harris; his sister, Jan Harris Robinson; and his brother, Joseph Presley Harris.
Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi, on February 13 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Jeff Harris, Bill Robinson, and Luke Harris; his grandsons, William Harris and Vaughn Harris; and his dear friend, Herman Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Gilliland, Bobby Amborn, Larry Rocconi, Dr. Fred McDonald, Harvey McGehee, Dean Andrews, and Dr. Don Jackson.
