Willie Edwin Skipworth

Willie Edwin Skipworth, 74, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. 

Willie was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to his parents, Nathan Franklin Skipworth Sr. and Elizabeth Warnock Wells on November 6, 1946. He lived in Vicksburg for many years. Willie was an avid hunter, gardener, and carpenter and was a self-employed fisherman and trapper. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Nathan Franklin Skipworth Jr.. 

Willie is survived by his daughter, Leslie Skipworth and her husband, Payton Cummins; and brother, Marion Ralph "Chip" Wells, and his wife, Tammy Wells. 

A visitation will be held at 9:00 am at Glenwood Funeral Home on Friday, June 4, 2021 until 11:00 am, when the service begins. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery in Yazoo County, Mississippi. Case Johnson will be officiating. 

Pallbearers are Nate Skipworth, Kevin Skipworth, Bryan Skipworth, Payton Cummins, Kiley Walker, Joshua Wells, and Larry Burroughs. Marion "Chip" Wells is an honorary pallbearer.
