Wilma Wheeler Boland went to be with Jesus on May 20, 2022, at the age of 83, in Hickory, NC.
Wilma was born on September 2, 1938, to Edward Lamar and Annie Newbaker Wheeler of Satartia, MS. She graduated from Satartia High School in 1956. She then went to nursing school in the fall of 1956 and met her husband and married in 1957. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and being part of Triumph Church.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Edward L. and Annie N. Wheeler, and her husband of 42 years, Robert Allison Boland, Jr.
She is survived by her son Jerry A. Boland (Lynn) of Vicksburg, MS, her daughters, Debbie Everhart (David) of North Carolina and Carol Ann Grace (Mike) of Georgia, grandchildren Courtney Towne (Chase), Amanda Smith (Trent), Ashley Pecanty (Kris) all of Vicksburg, Linsey Cloud (Daniel) of Georgia, Daniel Grace (Stephanie) of Tennessee, Matthew Grace (Kristina) of Utah, Jenna Everhart and Nicholas Everhart both of North Carolina, great-grandchildren Baylyn Pecanty, Cooper Towne, Wesson Smith, Walker Towne, Hattie Cloud, Nolan Grace, and Chloe Cloud. Also survived by many other extended family and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Glenwood Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Mike Fields. There will be visitation Wednesday May 25, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home and also from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Thursday. Interment services will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Daniel Grace, Matthew Grace, Nicholas Everhart, Chase Towne, Kris Pecanty, Trent Smith, and Daniel Cloud.
