Wilson Edward "Sonny" Copes

Memorial services for Wilson Edward “Sonny” Copes, age 71, of Tallulah, Louisiana, will be held Friday, April 30, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah, Louisiana, with Rev. Henry Stone officiating.

Mr. Wilson Copes was born April 26, 1949, in Delhi, Louisiana, to Wilson Collins and Jewell Dee Payne Copes. He passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Cornerstone Specialty Hospital in West Monroe, Louisiana, after a lengthy illness.

Sonny is preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Jewell Copes, and his daughter, Nicole Copes Coleman. He is survived by his brother, Glenn Copes and wife, Barbara, of Rayville, Louisiana; grandson, Matthew Coleman and fiancé, Meagan McDaniel, of Tallulah, Louisiana; two great grandchildren, twins, Landyn and Adalyn Coleman of Tallulah, Louisiana; nephew, Corey Copes and wife, Stephanie, and their twins, Wilson and Paisley, of Georgetown, Texas; and nephew, Steven Copes and wife, Gail, and their daughter, Kaylee of Crowville, Louisiana.
